A B O U T

Having lived in the UK, New Zealand and Canada, Katie brings a breadth of experience and holistic thinking to all her projects. Working as an Interior Designer, she has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Architecture, a Master of Science in Sustainability and Adaptation in the Built Environment and it currently working towards a Diploma in Interior Design in her spare time. She also works to highlight the importance of both material quality and sourcing when designing, with considerations such as upfront embodied carbon and operational carbon. Katie believes that for a design to be great, beauty should not come without optimal functionality, if a space is useful and enjoyed, that only increases it's life-time sustainability. 

 

Katie flourishes in both independant and team based projects, strives to develop healthy and trust based working relationships and with her ability to maintain focused on the client brief enjoys exploring creative, livable solutions.

In 2021 Katie made the move from Toronto to Vancouver. During this time she has been working as a junior interior designer, diving into continuing-education classes as well as volunteering her time in Vancouver's beautiful Stanley Park providing sustainable native species preservation practices alongside the Stanley Park Ecological Society (SPES).
